Using MacBook power adapter?

Mac I have a fairly new adapter. The magnetic long patch cords for my computer. But instead white brick can not seem to me open. When teeth are supposed to leave, there is a small place that is difficult to open. I do not know if I'll break if I keep trying to open it. Please help!
