Laptop and PC?

I have a laptop with an external DVD player so you can use it to play, etc. What CDS I want to know is how PC games are compatible to play on that? If I bought a game to play on the PC (eg, roller Coaster Tycoon) I'll be able to read on my laptop? I was informed that I can not do that? Is this true

If you know what your system specifications and notebooks are sure that you want to play games or exceed the minimum requirements for this game I have no problem … My g / f Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop that has XP installed and used only for games, including those of the likes of The Sims 2 Championship Manager '09 without any problems. (If you have problems, consider technological options for upgrading what you have.
